Buying a Small Convection Oven

Cooking with a convection oven has become the modern kitchen appliance choice.  These are like a toaster oven, microwave and conventional oven combined to give a new fast cooking, small appliance without the risks of microwaves.  Cooking with the convection ovens is easy for all cooks no matter if you are expert or no so good of a cook, like me!

You save money in energy bills because the convection ovens reduce cooking time and cooking temperature compared to the conventional ovens.

You eat healthier because the nutrients are preserved in your food compared to zapping food in the microwave.

  • No matter how you prefer to cook, broil, bake, fry, roast, boil, grill and steaming gives you tasty meals made to perfection.
  • Your food cooks in up to 30 percent less time than your big conventional oven.
  • Eat reduced fat home cooked meals. With Dr. Mercola’s Turbo oven the unhealthy oils drip away from food as they cook.
  • Cook all your favorite foods such as roasts, pot luck meals, chicken with  vegetables to perfection with amazing flavors.

When shopping for your countertop convection oven there are several options, prices and designs.

For the least money you can get a small convection toaster oven such as the Hamilton beach convection oven starting at around $50.  These are basic models to be used for small pizzas or reheating foods.  Good option for a college student.

For the adventurous cook that does a lot of home dinner parties, the  higher end Kitchenaid convection oven price is around $650.00.

These are the key things I wanted from a countertop convection oven:

The price had to be under $100.  I had to consider my small kitchen with limited counter space.  I don’t like to cook and I’m not a great cook so I wanted something easy to use that made the food taste like I spent all day preparing it, really that was one of the things I looked for.  :)   There are three people in our family so I didn’t want a huge style that would cook enough for a family of 10.  I did want the option to cook more than one item at a time.  Had to be easy clean up and small enough to leave on the countertop or store in a cabinet.  I do keep mine in the cabinet because it fits so well.

I decided on Dr. Mercola’s Healthy Chef Turbo Oven.    It has all the things I wanted plus it only cost $85!!!
